I just bought a laptop which is Lenovo IdeaPad U330
I was trying to install Windows 7 Beta 1 Build 7000 on this laptop.
After Windows 7 setup done, I saw there’s two graphic card in device manager, the same as Windows Vista
Then I try to install the VGA drivers which from Lenovo website although it is said the driver is only support Windows Vista, because almost all the driver can easy support Windows7 which is the same kernel.
Unfortunately after I install the VGA drivers, there’s only one graphic(Inter integrated graphic card) card left in the device manager.
I cannot switch to the ATI 3450 card via Switchable Graphics application
I try to write mail to Lenovo and also send it to Windows 7 team, no one reply yet.
I also found some of the user with the same device U330 has the same issue.
We need to fix it ASAP, I love Windows7, it’s unbelievable fast and beautiful
Hope some one from Lenovo or Microsoft Windows 7 team can see this.

found some other guys has the same issue as me in Lenovo forum

Update:2009/01/12
found Lenovo has create a thread in its forum

Update:2009/01/13(fix one)
Beta OS forum has announce a new page for the latest driver for Windows 7 support
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/WIN7-BETA.html
Try to disabled Switchable Graphics in BIOS and installed Windows 7 again.
All the device can get drivers expect on “Unknown device”, try to find the driver, finally found the “Unknown device” is Lenovo Energy control device, Install the “U330_Vista_PowerManagement” which comes from the Lenovo website, resolved.
Another confusing thing is my hard disk can only get 3.0 point rate result in system, all other device rate result is normal, i didn’t install any drivers only energy power driver, Windows7 can regonize almost all the device, in Vista, my U330 disk can get 5.3 rate point, that why i’m confusing
Update:2009/01/14(fix one)
Found solution for hard disk get rate result too low
go to device manager—>disk drivers—>properties of your hard disk—>policies
first unclick the “Enable write caching on the disk”, then rate it again
your rate score should be normal
then back to policies and click the “Enable write caching on the disk”
rate again, score no change
this should be a bug in Windows7

Ricky,
I just received my u330 today in the mail and set up windows 7 professional (i am able to get it through my school). I have just ran into the problem that there is no switchable graphics option from the “right clicking the desktop” like there was with vista, i just seem to be running into all kinds of trouble. I really want to get the ATI graphics working since it is a major reason why i bought the computer in the first place! Were you able to find a driver at all?
While looking in my device manager i am able to see the different display adaptors, one being the ATI card and the other being the Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family.
Were you able to solve this problem at all? I really appreciate your input!
